A New Innovation Center for Antares Vision: The Future is here

Opened in collaboration with the University of Brescia, it has been inaugurated on 15th October

Antares Vision has a brand-new Innovation Center, opened last month at the CSMT (Multisectorial and Technological Service Center).

This hub, located between the Faculties of Engineering and Medicine of the University of Brescia, was in fact specifically born for the technology transfer, and it is an ideal place to create networks and alliances, as well as a for research, technical and specialist training.

Antares Vision has a brand-new Innovation Center


At the moment the Innovation Center already counts on seven people: Alberto Albertini, the Director, Francesco Brazzarola, the Technical Manager, and five young researchers, most of them already hold a doctorate and significant foreign experience, also in cooperation with the CNR (National Research Council).The CNR is the largest public research institution in Italy, the only one under the Research Ministry performing multidisciplinary activities. In the meantime, the selection of some profiles is underway and soon other doctoral students and researchers will join. Because the challenges of the markets require more and more specific skills, but the target is to achieve a mix of knowledge with a multidisciplinary approach, intersecting several competences to a wide expertise.


"The main research areas of the new structure - says Albertini - are in the fields of information technology, sensors, materials engineering and computer vision, intersecting mechanical, electronics, medicine, pharma and biotechnology. As proof of its constant commitment to research, there are numerous innovative concepts launched by Antares Vision, such as the "Smart Ward Platform" project, an intelligent and flexible platform focused on the well-being of patients; or the anti Covid19 free-flow portal, to improve safety and automate the control; or again the application of THz (Tera Hertz) and hyperspectral technology, to improve quality of the final product, considered as a whole, content and container".


"In some research sectors, primarily food - adds Brazzarola - a collaboration is already active with two departments of excellence of the University of Brescia, recognized as such by the Ministry of Education, the Department of Information Technology and of Molecular and Translational Medicine".
